New Class
We’re excited to share that enrollment is now open for our upcoming pottery session at Buck Creek Pottery!
This 7-week session runs from April 7 through May 19, from 6:30–9:00 PM. The cost is $250, and all materials and firings are included. It’s perfect for beginners as well as those looking to continue developing their skills.
What makes this class unique is that both handbuilding and wheel-throwing techniques are taught. If you prefer handbuilding and would rather stay off the wheel, you’re welcome to focus your time there. The same goes for those who want to concentrate on wheel-throwing—this class is designed to support your individual interests and goals.
Throughout the session, you’ll receive guided instruction to refine your technique, explore trimming and surface decoration methods, and complete your work through the glazing process. Come ready to learn, experiment, and build new skills at any level—ceramics rewards patience, and the more time you invest, the more your work will evolve.
Spots are limited, so we encourage you to register soon to secure your place.
New KILN!!!
We are excited to introduce our newly constructed wood-fired kiln, built in collaboration with master ceramic artist Ted Neal. This kiln expands our program’s capabilities by allowing students to experience the dynamic and unpredictable nature of wood firing, where ash, flame, and atmosphere become active partners in the creative process. The addition of this kiln not only deepens students’ understanding of traditional ceramic techniques, but also connects them to a rich global history of wood-fired pottery.
